Mother Maria, "Home-Coming" and "Bridge to the Sky" are 3 parts of the trilogy "God's Miracles in Lives of Regular People" with main character Countess Maria Kotyk-Kurbatov. The trilogy is based on journals of Countess Maria and her verbal descriptions of each event to her daughter-in-law. The vivid imagination of the author transformed the dry data of the journals into breathtaking inspirational life and love story. Book II: "Home-Coming" brings the reader to post-war history of annexation of the countries and territories of Eastern Europe by the USSR. In 1946, mother-to-be Maria Kotyk-Kurbatov and her husband Alexander arrived at family manor to rescue Maria's family. Through the horrible illegal actions that happened to the Kurbatovs, the reader discovers the injustice of the communist regime, cruelty of the NKVD/KGB, hardships of GULAG and exile to Siberia, as well as Divine Providence that continues to manifest itself. Book III: "Bridge to the Sky" gives the reader the experience of unlawful persecution by KGB of Maria and her 3 children. After years of threat, losses of beloved, poverty and homelessness, the reader finds, how Maria's faith and courage led her to miraculous resolution of the unbearable life existence. With the Divine intervention, Maria meet Leonid Brezhnev - a new leader of the country and the miracle happened.
