Jessica Oakes and the Stellabright Solution

Jessica Oakes is a teenager with problems. She's dealing with her parents' divorce which has left her mother an emotional wreck and her father a feeble servant to his new wife. Her school life is no better because her goth friends have isolated themselves and branded the boy Jessica likes a chav. And her inexplicable failure to comprehend GCSE maths is threatening to destroy any remaining prospects she has.
