The Black Pagoda: An Archer Adventure (The Archer Adventures)

Kimo, the evil white oracle, banished from the planet Water for her treachery, will do everything in her power to make King Ichos pay for sending her to the Earth Star. She will use the black dragon of legend to take the white kingdom of Shusin for Sun Ling, her white-tailed daughter. Kimo assumes the shape of a giant squid to attack and critically injure Sun Ho, Shusin's ruler. The only obstacle between Kimo and her goal is Sun Ho's daughter, Sun Toi. Marcoli, the crystal master of Water sees the threat to Shusin and alerts King Ichos who sends Archer and Aradia to help Sun Toi's guard eliminate the danger. Although Ichos tells them he's sending them to face a powerful oracle and warns them to avoid a battle at all costs, he didn't tell them there's more at stake than the white kingdom. The task becomes urgent after Archer and Aradia learn Kimo not only threatens Shusin with the great black dragon and horde of miniature dragons; she intends to destroy all of King Ichos' Earth Star kingdoms including Archer and Aradia's home. After a cool reception by Sun Toi, and outright hostility by Sun Toi's guard, Archer and Aradia meet Mei Ying, Shusin's red oracle, who becomes a powerful ally. Mei Ying tells them about Kimo and the great black dragon that lives in the black pagoda Kimo placed in Sun Ling's kingdom. Although Archer and Aradia stopped Kimo's planned attack from inside the kingdom, preparations to save Shusin become a race against time. With the black dragon at Kimo's beck and call, the only way Archer and Aradia can save Shusin is to cover the kingdom with a force field barrier. But Sun Toi objects to being a prisoner in her home and everything changes after Kimo recognizes Archer and challenges him to a battle. That's when Mei Ying reveals the secret of the red pagoda in Shusin's temple and tells Archer and Aradia she has a solution to the problem. With Archer and Aradia's help, she can use the power in the red pagoda to get rid of Kimo forever.
